Zoe-perry

Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in each of the two episodes she appeared on Roseanne. Fearing stress, her parents did not want to see the actress pursue acting until she reached the age of age 18. Perry was shy during high school and didn't act. The actress began her acting career at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was transferred from Boston University. When she graduated, Perry moved into New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought the actress back to California which is where she discovered acting jobs. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom on Broadway in 2013 She appeared in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was staged at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of the ABC drama The Family in 2016. In 2017, she starred in her own recurring part on her own ABC drama about politics Scandal with her father. She also played in the role of a younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role despite her close familial connection to the character.
